When I was a teenager I had *no idea* men were into this for real. I had my own fantasies since I was little but thought it was just me. I was “regina nerdorum” of the dorm room (7 gaming guys and me). It never came up; I think they were just scared of women. Was I oblivious or what? Sheesh! Where were you guys???
So much of what’s talked about in this podcast rang true for me. I’ve asked myself the “Top or Dom” question more than once, and have had (in a similar fashion) rather fervent answers from others of “Dom!” The questioning in myself, though, has always come from this idea that I’ve NEVER had to be the Alpha, the big dick in the room. I’ve always been more interested in, as you put it, influence. A solid Dominant archetype for me, for a few years now, has been that of the old english butler. Controlling the House – and the ‘masters’ of the house – without anyone ever actually seeing, feeling, or acknowledging that control. I worked as a stage manager in independent theatre, here in Toronto, for about a decade. It has all the same elements of subtle, understated control. Control, without having to be the face of control.
This was the first episode of your show I have listened too, thank you for sharing it.
On a different matter, would it be possible to hear from the person who did the intro/Master of the person who does the intro? I’d like to ask you about a cross promotion option…
